Cohort 3 of Nonprofit Excellence Initiative
Strong nonprofits mean a strong community, and the Quincy Area Funders Collaborative (QAFC) remains committed to strengthening nonprofit leadership and organizational effectiveness across our region.
The Nonprofit Excellence Initiative (NEI) has supported two cohorts of nonprofits, completed in 2022 and 2024, with participating organizations demonstrating measurable growth in leadership capacity and organizational effectiveness. Insights and feedback from those participants have helped shape the future of the program. Cohort 3 reflects those lessons, offering a more intentional and individualized approach designed to strengthen both nonprofit leaders and the organizations they serve.
Cohort 3 is a two-year leadership and organizational development experience that provides customized support for executive directors and emerging organizational leaders who are preparing to step into executive leadership roles. The program strengthens mission driven organizations through strategic planning, leadership development, and unrestricted funding while building both current and future leadership capacity.
Nonprofit leaders and emerging leaders who are ready to invest in themselves and the long-term strength of their organizations are encouraged to learn more and apply.
Up to five nonprofits serving Adams, Brown, Hancock, and Pike counties will be selected. Each organization that successfully completes the program will receive $10,000 in unrestricted operational support.
Participating organizations can expect:
- Leadership and organizational assessments that guide clear priorities
- Executive coaching aligned to leadership and organizational goals
- Strategic planning and capacity building support
- Peer learning with other cohort participants
