Scholarships

Community Foundation scholarships are offered annually for high school and college students. Scholarships are for a one-year period and are administered through area schools. Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements based on the donor’s intent. Please view the information below for details on each of our scholarships.

Alton A. Vannice FFA Leadership Fund

Eligibility

  • Palmyra (MO) FFA student exhibiting outstanding leadership qualities and work ethic pursuing a degree in agriculture or closely related field. 
  • Renewable for up to 3 additional years.

Amelia E. Bauner, Frances A. Hall, and Walter J. Hall Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Quincy University student pursuing a degree in education and residing in Adams County (IL).

Becky Swisher Crowe Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Quincy (IL) Senior High graduating senior planning to major in education.

Eligibility

  • Canton High School or Highland High School (MO) graduate with a preference for students pursuing agriculture-related majors.

Clifford H. Ahrens Scholarship 

Eligibility

  • Graduates of Hannibal High School in Hannibal, MO who will be attending an accredited post-secondary institution with the intent to study law.

Delford M. & Portia K. Richter Agriculture Scholarship

Dorothy J. Motley Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Western (Barry, IL) High School graduate.

F. Lee & Joan Kammerlohr Family Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Quincy (IL) Senior High graduating senior who intends to pursue a career in education, with a preference for elementary education. 
  • Renewable for up to three additional years.

George & Sharen Borrowman Agriculture Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Former student or graduate of John Wood Community College who will be entering his or her junior or senior year at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in an agricultural-related field.

Hannibal High School Class of 1955 Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Graduate of Hannibal (MO) High School.

Kenneth & Eleanor Lohr Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Quincy (IL) Senior High School graduating senior or graduate intending to enter the field of or majoring in pharmacy.

Krutmeier Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Graduates of Payson-Seymour High School who will be attending an accredited post-secondary institution to pursue a degree in agriculture or a closely related field.

Marvin J and Thomas Leo Likes Math Scholarship

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is awarded to a student who: scores a minimum 27 ACT composite or equivalent SAT score.
  • Graduates from Western (Barry, IL) High School.
  • Declares his or her intent to obtain a bachelor’s degree or a degree leading to a bachelor’s degree in math, math education, engineering, surveying, or engineering/surveying.

Quincy High School Class of 1957 Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Quincy (IL) Senior High School graduate attending an accredited, four-year, post-secondary education institute.

Robert L. Adams Memorial Education Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Graduates of Griggsville-Perry CUSD #4 High School who will be attending an accredited post-secondary institution to pursue a career in education or a technical trade.

Theresa Lynn Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Palmyra (MO) High School graduate.

Eligibility

  • Student Award: Canton (MO) High School graduating senior pursing a major in engineering, science or mathematics. 
  • Teacher Award: Teacher at Canton (MO) High School chosen by Student Award recipient.

Virginia Kaye Leinweber Leeds Scholarship Fund

Eligibility

  • Pleasant Hill (IL) High School graduating senior who intends to pursue a career in nursing.
