25 Years of Impact

 25 Years
of Everlasting Generosity

In November of 1997, the Community Foundation was founded to connect people who care with causes that matter in West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri -- today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

For nearly 25 years, the Community Foundation has worked to strengthen nonprofits, support donors, and uplift our region through the power of local philanthropy.

Celebrating our Friends of Philanthropy

The Community Foundation began with a small group of people who shared a deep commitment to community and believed that by working together, we can improve the quality of life in our region.  An abundance of optimism and two gifts totaling $1,050 planted the seeds to grow an opportunity for local philanthropists of all kinds to build charitable funds for here, for now, and forever.

Twenty five years later, countless other local champions and friends of philanthropy have joined in our mission. We invite you to hear a few of their stories.

We want to hear from you about your Community Foundation memories! Please click the link below which best describes your relationship to us to answer 3 simple, short prompts using your smartphone or computer webcam. Or, contact Kaylee McFarland to set up a time to record with her assistance.

Timeline & Milestones

Give. Grow. Grant.

The generosity and vision of our donors has allowed us to award more than $14 million in grants since 1999.

And thanks to the power of endowment, this is just the beginning.
