Agency Funds
An agency endowment is a safe and simple way for a nonprofit organization to invest in its future.
You can focus on your core mission, while we provide professional investment expertise, endowment marketing support, and complex gift acceptance to help grow your endowment, and your future.
Why Establish an Agency Endowment?
- Save time and resources. We handle the legal work, tax filings, reporting, gift acknowledgement, and accounting so your organization can focus on its mission.
- Funds are professionally managed and benefit from a pooled portfolio, invested to maximize returns with an emphasis on growth and stability.
- Establishing an endowment fund allows you access to our professional team, which can help your donors support your endowment through a variety of current and planned gifts, including appreciated securities, agricultural assets, IRAs, and other properties.
- Our nonprofit partners benefit from added visibility through our newsletters, website, and media communications.
- Endowment funds with the Community Foundation are protected for your organization's purpose.

YWCA-Quincy Fund
The YWCA Quincy chose to open a fund with the Community Foundation in 2007 in response to a board member's requests that in lieu of gifts or accolades, they would rather have their Board service commemorated through a donation to an endowment with the Community Foundation.
After allocating a portion of a private bequest to start the endowment, the YWCA has since celebrated the work of women in the community by building the YWCA-Quincy fund in this manner.
Friends of Unit 4 Fund
Since 2015, Friends of Unit 4 has helped bridge the funding gap that exists between school district needs in the northwestern portion of Adams County, Illinois, and available funding through initiatives such as new playground equipment and classroom chairs and supplies.
The Friends of Unit 4 Fund, established in 2017, provides an additional avenue for gifts from donors who wish to support Unity Schools. The fund will provide a permanent source of funding to ensure the district’s students are provided opportunities to learn and thrive.
