Catherine was named CEO of the Community Foundation in 2019 after previously serving in development, marketing, and program roles since 2015. As CEO, Catherine leads donors, volunteers, staff, and community partners towards the Community Foundation’s vision of a thriving region through collaborative philanthropy.
She serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance of Illinois Community Foundations and Tri-State Fundraising Professionals. In her capacity as CEO, she is a member and past chair of the Adams County Funders Collaborative, which works cooperatively to strengthen local nonprofit capacity and leadership development.
Outside of her professional role, Catherine is an active member of Quincy Service League and Friends in Council. Prior to joining the Foundation, she held a career in healthcare public relations in Chicago. Catherine earned her Bachelor and Master of Communication Studies degrees from Eastern Illinois University. She and her husband live in Quincy, where she was born and raised, along with their two children, Margaret and Charlie.
As Chief Financial Officer, Jon's responsibilities include financial and fund management, human resources, grant administration, and technology management. Jon joined the Community Foundation in a financial and operations capacity in 2015 after previously serving as Office Manager.
He is a graduate of John Wood Community College and Western Illinois University. He started his career as a high school math teacher. For two years, he served as a Trainer and Safety Specialist for a local company. He and his wife, Katie, reside in Payson with their children, Jack and Claire.
Kent has held the role of Program Officer for the Community Foundation since March of 2022. As Program Officer, Kent works with nonprofits, donors, and volunteers to maximize community impact through our grant-making programs.
Kent was raised in Quincy and is a proud alumnus of Quincy High School and the University of Iowa, where he received his bachelor’s degree in English. His early career focused on graphic communications, publishing, and marketing in St. Louis.
In 2003, he and his wife, Denise, returned to Quincy, and for eight years Kent owned and operated his own graphic communications business. He entered the nonprofit sector as the first marketing manager for the Salvation Army Kroc Corps Community Center, which opened in Quincy in 2011. He later served as executive director for the Quincy Public Schools Foundation leading their Dream Big Annual Campaign for public education. Kent volunteers extensively as a board member of the Mississippi Valley Council of Scouting America and is passionate about helping local non-profits reach their maximum potential. He and Denise reside in Quincy and have two grown children, Evan and Garrett, who are both Eagle Scouts.
As Program Manager, Bailee is responsible for ensuring the Community Foundation's grant programs are efficient, effective, and impactful. She oversees the grant application process, manages the annual scholarship program, and supports program evaluation and development efforts.
Before joining the Community Foundation in 2024, Bailee gained valuable experience working at John Wood Community College and the Knowledge Center at Chaddock in Quincy. She is a graduate of both John Wood Community College and Culver-Stockton College.
In her spare time, Bailee enjoys volunteering and serves as a board member for Friends of Unit 4, an organization dedicated to supporting educators in the Unity School District.
Bailee lives in Sutter, Illinois with her husband, Blake, and their two daughters, Ayda and Myla.
As Development Officer, Emily supports the Community Foundation’s donor engagement and communication strategies, helping donors fulfill their charitable goals and communicating the impact of opportunities for Community Foundation giving, grants, and programs.
A Quincy native and alumna of both Quincy Senior High and John Wood Community College, Emily earned her AA in Communications from John Wood Community College and went on to receive a BS in Organizational Communication with a Marketing minor from Missouri State University. She launched her post-grad career in Quincy, where she still resides with her fiancé, Kyle.
Before joining the Community Foundation, Emily worked in development with the Chaddock Children’s Foundation and provided project support for Quincy Medical Group’s senior management team. A dedicated community advocate, she also serves on the board of Horizons as secretary and as a Newcomer Concierge for the Great River Economic Development Foundation.
Krista joined the Community Foundation in November 2015. She assists Board and staff in fulfilling the mission and objectives of the Community Foundation. Her responsibilities include secretarial, financial, office management, and technology coordination as well as assisting with special projects.
She is a graduate of Illinois College in Jacksonville with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her career has included years of accounting experience and self-employment. Previously from Warsaw, Illinois, Krista now lives in Quincy with her husband, Bill, with whom she has three sons.
